Nagpur: The state home department has on Wednesday suspended two motor vehicle inspectors (MVI), Sanket Gaikwad and Gita Shejwal, of Nagpur Regional Transport Office (RTO). The two officials had been booked in an offence related to firing of Gaikwad’s service revolver that had left Gaikwad injured at his apartment in Bajaj Nagar in May 2022.

Meanwhile, the division bench of justices Vinay Joshi and Vrushali Jishi of Nagpur bench of Bombay high court on Friday directed the city police not to file a charge sheet against Gita Shejwal in the attempt to murder case. tnn
