In the State Service Preliminary Examination-2023 results, 5589 candidates scored 20 times or more the equal marks of the total advertised posts for Main Part-A, qualifying provisionally for the main examination.Additionally, 1073 candidates provisionally qualified for the main examination by obtaining 20 times or more the advertised posts for provisional Part-B. In total, 6662 candidates have qualified.

The PCS prelims exam took place on May 21, 2023, across 52 district headquarters in two sessions — 10 AM to 12 noon for General Studies and 2.15 PM to 4.15 PM for General Aptitude.
The displayed examination results are provisional, and candidates failing to meet the State Service Examination-2023 rules and conditions will automatically lose eligibility for the main examination. Reserved category candidates with marks equal to or surpassing unreserved category marks are shortlisted in the unreserved category for both main and provisional parts.

Similarly, in women’s reservation, female candidates from the reserved category with marks equal to or higher than unreserved category marks are shortlisted in the unreserved category for both main and provisional parts. The date for the State Service Main Examination-2023 will be announced separately. Final selection results in court cases are contingent upon the Honorable Court’s decision.
The second question paper in the preliminary examination holds a qualifying status, with the merit coefficient calculated based on the marks achieved in the first question paper by candidates who attained the minimum passing marks in the second question paper.
