Nagpur: A team of crime branch sleuths seized mephedrone powder from a peddler identified as Feroze Khan. Cops said that the seized narcotics was worth around ₹47,000. The accused was picked from a lane in Gausiya Colony. He was later handed over to the Sakkardara police station. tnn

Ganja worth 50 lakh seized
The Nagpur rural police, led by SP Harssh A Poddar, seized 496 kg ganja worth 50 lakh on the Nagpur-Chandrapur highway. The ganja was being transported in a concealed chamber below the driver’s cabin. The driver, Shabbir Jumme Khan, from Alwar, and his accomplice, Munwar Azad Khan from Haryana, were arrested.

DRI sleuths at Kempegowda International Airport busted a smuggling attempt of diamonds worth Rs 7.77 crore. Two men from Chikkaballapur were arrested while trying to board a flight to Dubai. The diamonds were concealed in chocolate packets. The DRI team in Bengaluru also arrested two accomplices in Hyderabad with diamonds worth Rs 6.03 crore and foreign currency worth Rs 9.

Two Dubai-bound passengers were arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with 9.8 lakh foreign currency and 1 lakh cash. The passengers were stopped near the international boarding area by DRI Hyderabad officers.
