During the 29th Annual General Meeting and national elections for the new term of 2023-25, held at the Peninsula Grand Hotel in Mumbai on September 2, 2023, the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) elected the new Managing Committee unopposed.
The TAFI President, Ajay Prakash, was re-elected, while Anil Kalsi took over from Kamal R Jadhwani as the Vice President. Abbas Moiz and Hitank Shah retained their positions as National General Secretary and Treasurer.
The newly elected committee members for the 2023-25 term are Seeraj Sabharwal, Rai Achal Krishna, Anandaveloo M, Sampat Damani, and Jitul Mehta. Furthermore, as per the TAFI bye-laws, four more members were co-opted at the first Managing Committee meeting held on the same day, namely S Somaskandan, Sunil Uttam, Anil Punjabi, and Paulose Mathew.
Pradip Lulla will continue to serve as the immediate past president. Prakash served his second term as TAFI President for two year after getting elected in 2021. Before that, he served as TAFI President between 2010 and 2012. He has also served as Secretary at TAFI in previous terms.
He started his career with Air India before starting his own travel company, Nomad Travels.
