Uzbekistan Launches Toll Free Helpline Website For MBBS Applicants From India

The official website can be found at studyinuzbek.uz, while the toll-free helpline number is 1800-123-2931

Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health and TMA University have collaboratively introduced a toll-free helpline and an official website to aid Indian students aspiring to pursue medical education in Uzbekistan.

The official website, studyinuzbek.uz, and the toll-free helpline number, 1800-123-2931, serve as comprehensive resources furnishing details about courses, universities, scholarships, application procedures, necessary documentation for study visas and more.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that India and Uzbekistan have formalised a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance student exchanges between the two nations. This MoU will facilitate the mutual transfer of students between Indian and Uzbek universities, fostering the establishment of shared research centres and the interchange of faculty and experts.

In the previous year, Uzbekistan’s Medical Higher Educational Institutes (MHEIs) allocated 2000 positions for Indian medical students seeking to transfer from Ukraine, abiding by the former MCI and NMC norms (Screening test regulations 2002) and (Foreign Medical Graduate Licentiate – FMGL Regulations 2021).

Uzbekistan was offering two undergraduate medical programmes to Indian students: a 6-year MD Diploma and a 5+1 year MBBS degree comprising a one-year internship.

Furthermore, Uzbekistan extends scholarships to its own students who wish to study in India. These scholarships fall under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme.
