But can you ever imagine the green colour of Jalebi? Strange question, but the picture of green ‘Mountain Dew’ Jalebiis going viral on social media. But it is not as you think.This is very special. Users are shocked to see this Jalebi.

Food blogger Amar Sirohi, who goes by the name foodie_incarnate on Instagram shared a picture of green-coloured Jalebis and called them Mountain Dew Jalebis. In the post, he wrote, these Jalebis are not green due to mountain dew or green food colouring, they are actually ‘Averabele Jalebis’, which are very popular in Bengaluru. These are made from hyacinth beans, which are known as ‘avarebele’ in Karnataka. It is very popular among the local people. The method of making Avarabele Jalebi is also different. Water hyacinth beans paste is made with flour. Then it is kept for 4 to 5 hours. After this, the Jalebis are dipped in syrup made of sugar and honey.
