Multiple Chapters of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) have concluded their Annual General Meeting (AGM) and election process to choose officer bearers and members for the new term 2023- 25.
In another development, the national leadership of the Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kazakh Tourism in Astana to promote tourism between both countries.
The most recent on the list, TAFI Western Region, announced its new leadership team after the conclusion of AGM and election on July 12. The new team, which got elected unopposed include Jay Kantawala from WIYO Travel as the new Chapter Chairman while Arun Iyer from Maa Air Ticket Centre has been elected as the Secretary. Dharmesh Shah from Dadyson Travels and Satbir Singh Narula from Pyramid tours & allied services have been elected as Treasurer and Committee Member respectively.
The TAFI Northern Region conducted its AGM and election process on July 10 in New Delhi where all the office bearers and members except for the Chapter Chairman got elected unopposed. For the title position, Khushvinder Sarna from Federal Travels was up against Ashwani Sharma from Sheraton Travels.
Sarna ultimately retained his post and was elected as the Chapter Chairman of the TAFI Northern Region for the second consecutive term. Dinesh Kumar from Inter Airwings is the new Chapter Secretary and Rajiv Agarwal from Hindustan Air Travel has been elected as the Treasurer. Naveen Gupta from Travelco and Charu Arora from YTS Travel Services have been appointed Committee Members.
The TAFI Gujarat Chapter held their AGM in Ahmedabad on July 1, where Ronak Shah from World Travels was elected as the Chapter Chairman followed by Dilip Masrani from Favourite Tours & Forex and Rajan Bhatla from Yashvi Tours & Travels, who were elected as the Chapter Secretary & Chapter Treasurer respectively. Chirag Patel from The Navigators, Rajneesh Bhatnagar from Sanskar Travels were elected as Committee members.
