“We’re proud to announce Kama Ayurveda’s entry into the luxury beauty & wellness market in the UK,” announced the brand on Facebook. “The launch of this e-commerce platform marks the beginning of the brand’s expansion into the global market. For our customers in India, we continue our journey via retail stores, website and retailers.”

The business now operates a warehouse in the UK which will greatly speed up shipping times for UK shoppers. Along with a large South Asian diaspora, the UK has a large market for natural aesthetic and health related products.

“Our e-commerce platform in the UK will immerse consumers into the brand and customers will be able to experience our iconic ranges as well as educational content on the ancient yet codified science of Ayurveda,” said Kama Ayurveda’s founder and chairman Vivek Sahni, ET Retail reported. “We always had a presence in the global market via our India-specific website, however, launching the brand in the UK means that the products will now be shipped from the UK as well.”

Along with its upcoming UK store, Kama Ayurveda also plans to open a shop-in-shop by the end of the calendar year, the Economic Times reported. The brand’s exclusive brand outlet will feature an in-house Ayurvedic doctor who will be able to recommend products to tackle skin and hair issues. The brand will launch 32 out of its total 120 SKUs in the UK to begin with.
