As expected, SatyaPrem Ki Katha saw a good jump on Saturday with Rs. 10.25 crores coming in. Just like it was a known fact that the film would dip a bit on Friday (Rs. 7 crores) owing to it being a working day, it was also a given that on Saturday the recovery would come in since the word of mouth is positive. The film was poised to go a little ahead of the Thursday numbers (Rs. 9.25 crores) and that’s exactly what has happened.
The stage is now set for the Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani starrer to get into a double-digit score today, which it will do with ease. In fact, there is a bit of further jump that will come in as well, which means the collections can well find themselves in Rs. 12-14 crores zone. Once that happens, all eyes would be on Monday to take the film into a sustaining mode right till the end of the week. However, before that what’s required is the Sunday growth to come in.
So far, this Sameer Vidwans directed romantic drama has collected Rs. 26.35 crores in its first three days and the extended weekend should be around Rs. 40 crores mark. The start is there for the Sajid Nadiadwala backed film and now it needs to keep running strong for many more days so that the overall collections turn out to be quite positive as well. The first major target would be Rs. 70 crores total and thereafter it would need to keep adding on.
