After a decent opening day of Rs. 9.25 cores, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani’s love story, Satyaprem Ki Katha has seen a drop of approx. 28 percent on the second day. According to early estimates, the Sajid Nadiadwala production has collected in the range of Rs. 6.75 to 7.25 crore, taking the two-day total collection to Rs. 16.25 crores.
There was a drop across the board, but this was expected given that the film was a mid-week release on account of the Bakri Eid Festival. There are some block bookings happening across the board for corporates. The collections are decent and the platform is now laid for the film to show gains on Saturday and Sunday. If the film manages to score in the range of Rs. 10 crores each on Saturday and Sunday, it would be in a good spot over the extended weekend with a total of Rs. 36 crores. From there, it would all boil down to the crucial Monday test for Satyaprem Ki Katha.
If the film manages to hold around the Rs. 3.5 crore mark, it will sail through to emerge as a successful venture in the long run. The target for a successful mark would be around Rs. 70 to 75 crores.
