Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) and ICEX Spain Trade and Investment have formed a strategic partnership to enhance hospitality education and celebrate gastronomy. The partnership was announced through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions.

ICEX Spain Trade and Investment, a prominent entity under the Spanish Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Trade, focuses on promoting Spanish businesses and culture globally. The Indian School of Hospitality (ISH) is a higher education institution that aims to reimagine hospitality education.

The collaboration between ISH and ICEX aims to explore various areas of cooperation, including hospitality education, gastronomy and cultural exchange. Also, dedicated training programs will be developed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in Spanish gastronomy, wines, and food history to the faculty and students of ISH.

Additionally, ISH will promote ICEX programs and initiatives among its alumni, creating opportunities for hospitality professionals to engage with ICEX. The Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in New Delhi will also consider incorporating ISH’s culinary expertise in crafting authentic Indian culinary experiences at events, thereby blending Indian and Spanish cultures.

The collaboration between ISH and ICEX will also enrich the curriculum at ISH and expose students and faculty to global best practices in hospitality and culinary arts, according to an official statement. It will facilitate cultural exchange between India and Spain and promote cross-border trade and investment in the hospitality and gastronomic sector.
