4 major cruise lines set to make waves in India by 2023 end

To tap into India’s domestic tourism potential, MSC Cruises, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean Cruise and Costa will bring their respective vessels in India for the winter season. India’s cruise industry aims to increase the number of passengers from 0.2 million in 2016 to four million by 2041. Additionally, the sector’s revenue is projected to grow from INR 712 crore in 2016 to INR 35,500 crore by 2041.

Rajeev Kale – President & Country Head, Holidays, MICE, Visa – Thomas Cook (India) said, “We are honoured to be selected as official channel partner by Legends League Cricket to drive sales via our omnichannel Clicks & Bricks network pan-India. In addition to a one-of-its-kind experiential 7-day cruise of the Caribbean islands, our customers get an exclusive opportunity to interact with legendary cricketers and other activities; also attend one cricket match live in-stadium either India’s Tour of the West Indies or Caribbean Premier League as per booking dates. What makes this a value proposition, is that Indian travellers do not require a visa for Trinidad – the port of sail, thus making it a hassle-free travel destination.”

Daniel D’Souza, President & Country Head – Holidays, SOTC Travel said, “Indians now get a unique opportunity to interact and dine with their favourite cricket stars and spend one-on-one time with them, while experiencing new theme-based events every day aboard the spacious ships.

The cruise offers multiple dining options with world class gastronomy and finest premium wines/spirits, onboard the spacious ships that offer a deluxe private club ambience. And what is notable, is that all cabins are ocean front state rooms.
