106ha Of Forest Land Freed From Encroachers | Nagpur News

Nagpur: At a time when encroachments on forest land is one of the biggest problems with which the officials are grappling, the forest staff of the Butibori range freed 106.49 hectares from encroachers.
The said parcels of land in Butibori east and Sonegaon beats are valued at crores of rupees considering their proximity to the Butibori industrial estate. The encroachers were farming on the said land.
The 106.49 hectares of land was spread in Ashta (10.10ha), Tamaswadi (5ha), Chichkota (9.16ha), Chimnazari (24.65ha), Chicholi (12.23ha), and Mohgaon (44.58ha). These encroachments were removed in the last two months.
In the last two years, the forest teams have removed encroachments on 200 hectares of forest land in south Umred, north Umred, and Butibori. TNN
